- Enrollment Process and Requirements
At ELC Kindergarten, we are deeply committed to nurturing each child’s unique potential in a warm and supportive environment. Rooted in the Montessori philosophy, our approach respects the natural development of every child, fostering independence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
- Age Criteria
Toddler Environments: We welcome children starting at 1.5 years of age, where they can begin their journey in a carefully prepared environment that nurtures curiosity and exploration.
Kindergarten Environment: For our kindergarten program, children should have completed 3 years by June 1 of the calendar year. This ensures they are ready to thrive in a more structured Montessori environment that encourages self-directed learning.
- Application Process
When you decide to join our community, we want to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition for your child
- Interaction with the child
For children aged 4 years and above, we will conduct a gentle interaction session. This allows us to understand your child’s comprehension, abilities, and readiness. Our goal is to place each child in the year of the Montessori kindergarten that best supports their individual growth.
- Assessment for older children
For children aged 5 years and above, our experienced Montessori teachers will carry out a brief assessment. This helps us gauge your child’s current developmental stage and determine the level of support they might need for a seamless transition. We are dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential in a nurturing and respectful environment.
Campus Visit:
We recognize that selecting the right school for your child is a deeply important decision for your family. At ELC Kindergarten, we warmly invite you to experience our Montessori environment firsthand. We believe that a visit will give you a glimpse into how we support each child’s unique journey of growth and learning.
To honour the focus and serenity of our daily activities, campus tours are scheduled after 2 p.m., once our kindergarten children have finished their day. This also ensures that we can offer you a thoughtful and uninterrupted experience.
Open Houses: A Collaborative Journey
At ELC Kindergarten, we see the journey of your child’s education as a partnership—one where teachers and parents work hand in hand to support and celebrate every step of growth. To nurture this partnership and keep you intimately connected with your child’s progress, we hold two Open Houses each academic year.
The Silent Journey: Discovering Montessori in Action
One of the most insightful experiences we offer at ELC is the Silent Journey. This special opportunity allows you to explore our Montessori environment with a focus on understanding the materials, their purpose, and the profound impact they have on your child’s development.
